Samsung Phone Repair in St Andrews. Your Galaxy, Fixed Same-Day

Samsung phones are brilliant pieces of technology, but they break just like anything else. That gorgeous Galaxy S Ultra AMOLED display? One drop onto the cobblestones on Market Street and it is a mess of purple blotches and dead pixels. The Galaxy Z Fold you spent over a thousand pounds on? The hinge is stiff, the inner screen has a crease, and the battery barely lasts half a day. Whatever has gone wrong with your Samsung, we fix it.

Repair St Andrews has been repairing Samsung phones since well before the Galaxy brand became what it is today. We cover the full range. Galaxy S series flagships, Galaxy A series mid-range, Galaxy Z Flip and Fold, Galaxy Note (for those still holding on), and older models too. Our workshop at 1 City Rd, beside the West Port, carries parts for the most popular Samsung models and can source anything else within a day or two.

Samsung Repairs We Handle

Screen Replacement

Samsung's AMOLED screens are stunning but fragile. We replace cracked, dead-pixel, or touch-unresponsive screens for all Galaxy S, A, and Z models. Samsung screens are more complex than iPhone screens because the digitiser is fused to the AMOLED panel, so we replace the entire display assembly for a perfect result.

Battery Replacement

Galaxy batteries degrade just like any other lithium-ion cell. If your S23 is not lasting a full day or your A54 shuts down at 20%, a new battery brings it back to life.

Charging Port Repair

USB-C port clogged with lint, corroded, or physically damaged. We clean or replace the port assembly so you can charge reliably again.

Back Glass Replacement

Samsung's glass sandwich design means the back panel cracks just as easily as the front. We replace rear glass on all Samsung models, restoring wireless charging and aesthetics.

Water Damage Treatment

Despite Samsung's IP68 ratings, water damage happens. We do ultrasonic cleaning and component-level repair on liquid-damaged Galaxy phones.

// OUR PROCESS

Our Samsung Repair Process

We keep the process simple so your phone is back in your hands the same day.

Model Identification and Diagnosis

Samsung's model numbering is notoriously confusing. There is a big difference between a Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, and each uses different parts. We identify your exact model, assess the damage, and confirm what parts are needed. If we have them in stock, we can start immediately. If not, we order them. Usually next-day delivery for popular models.

Repair

Samsung phones use strong adhesive throughout, so disassembly requires heat and patience. We use a controlled heat source to soften the adhesive, then carefully separate the screen or back panel using precision tools. Internal components are disconnected, the damaged part is removed, and the replacement is installed with fresh adhesive. Samsung's use of curved-edge screens on many models means alignment during reassembly is critical. A fraction of a millimetre off and the screen does not sit right. We get it right.

Testing and Quality Check

Every Samsung repair gets a comprehensive test: screen display quality and touch response across the entire surface (including curved edges), fingerprint sensor function (Samsung's under-display fingerprint readers can be affected by screen replacements), camera autofocus and image quality, wireless and wired charging, NFC for Samsung Pay, speakers and microphone, and all sensors. We do not hand the phone back until everything checks out.

Turnaround Time

When we have the part in stock, most common repairs (screen, battery, charging port) are done the same day. Typically one to two hours. For less common Samsung models or specific parts we need to order, turnaround is usually one to two working days. Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold repairs take longer due to the complexity of the folding mechanism and multi-screen design. If we need to order a specific part for a less common model, we will let you know the expected timeline, which is usually one to two working days.

Samsung Repair Pricing

Pricing varies by model and repair type. Samsung screen repairs tend to be pricier than iPhone screens because Samsung fuses the glass and AMOLED panel into a single assembly. You cannot just replace the glass. The Galaxy S Ultra models and Z Fold series are at the premium end because their screens are larger and more expensive to source. Battery replacements and charging port repairs are more affordable across all models.

We quote before we start, and the price we give is the price you pay. Parts, labour, and testing included. No surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you repair Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold phones?

Yes. The folding Galaxy phones are among the most complex devices we work on, but we have the tools and experience to handle them. Common Z Flip and Z Fold repairs include inner screen replacement (the flexible AMOLED panel), outer cover screen replacement, hinge repair, and battery replacement. These repairs take longer and cost more than standard Galaxy repairs due to the specialised parts and intricate disassembly, but we can handle them. Call ahead and we will confirm parts availability for your specific model.

Will my Samsung's water resistance be restored after repair?

We re-seal every Samsung repair with fresh adhesive, which provides a good level of dust and splash resistance. However, Samsung’s factory IP68 certification involves pressure testing under controlled conditions that cannot be replicated during a repair. The practical difference is minimal for everyday use. Your phone will be well-sealed. But we would not recommend taking it swimming or deliberately submerging it after any repair.

My Samsung fingerprint sensor stopped working after the screen cracked. Will it work again?

Most likely, yes. Samsung’s under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor (used in the Galaxy S10 onwards) sits beneath the screen. When the screen is replaced, the new screen assembly includes the digitiser layer that the fingerprint sensor reads through. After a screen replacement, you will need to re-register your fingerprints in Settings, but the sensor itself should work perfectly. If the sensor was physically damaged by the same impact that cracked the screen, we will identify that during testing and discuss options.

I am not sure what Samsung model I have. Can you help?

Absolutely. Samsung has released so many models with similar names that it is genuinely confusing. If you go to Settings, then About Phone, it will show the model number (something like SM-S918B for a Galaxy S23 Ultra). But if you cannot access Settings because the phone is broken, just bring it in and we will identify the exact model from the physical design and the markings on the device. Getting the right model is crucial because parts are not interchangeable between similar-looking Samsung phones.

Do Samsung repairs affect warranty?

Any third-party repair on a Samsung phone will technically void the manufacturer warranty. However, if your Samsung is already out of warranty (most are after 12-24 months), this is not a concern. For in-warranty Samsung phones, we recommend checking with Samsung directly first. In practice, most people who come to us have phones that are already past the warranty period, and a repair that costs a fraction of a new phone is the sensible choice.

Can you source parts for very new Samsung models?

For brand-new Samsung releases (within the first few weeks of launch), parts availability can be limited. We monitor Samsung’s release schedule and begin sourcing parts as soon as they become available, which is usually within a few weeks of launch. If your phone is a very recent release, call ahead on 01334 478866 and we will let you know whether we have the parts in stock or how long it will take to source them.

Do you repair Samsung tablets too?

We focus on Samsung phones on this page, but yes. We repair Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets as well. See our tablet repair page for more details, or just bring your Samsung tablet in and we will take a look.
